A exposição, organizada pela ARFOC-SP (Associação de Repórteres Fotográficos e Cinematográficos no Estado de São Paulo), reúne portraits de 28 fotojornalistas ligados à associação. Há close-ups e diferentes olhares sobre personalidades e pessoas anônimas.
The exhibition, held by ARFOC-SP (Association of Photographic and Cinematographic Reporters in the State of São Paulo), brings together portraits of 28 photojournalists linked to the association. There are close-ups and different looks about personalities and anonymous people.

Maio Fotografia
Período no Museu da Imagem e do Som, entre abril e maio, dedicado exclusivamente à fotografia. Na agenda, estão exposições, palestras, festival e feira de rua. O principal destaque este ano será a exposição “Farida, um conto sírio”, de Mauricio Lima, fotojornalista brasileiro e vencedor do Prêmio Pulitzer em 2016, com fotos da cobertura das recentes migrações de refugiados do Oriente Médio rumo à Europa.
Uma série de fotografias da tradicional revista Camera também estará em exibição. São imagens do século XIX e XX, parte da coleção de Allan Porter, editor-chefe da magazine entre 1966 e 1981.
O movimento mObgraphia Cultura Visual, que incentiva a fotografia com smartphones, organiza "Avessos e paradigmas", com obras dos fotógrafos veteranos German Lorca, Maureen Bisilliat, Nair Benedicto e Penna Prearo utilizando o celular pela primeira vez; e "A arte da observação urbana", do coletivo internacional Hikari Creative, formado por premiados fotógrafos internacionais.
O MIS completa a agenda de mostras com "Caçador e construtor", uma seleção de fotografias do acervo do museu, incluindo obras de Cristiano Mascaro, Gal Oppido, entre outros; e "Passagens da Inocência", de Giullia Paulinelli, uma das artistas selecionadas pelo programa Nova Fotografia 2017.
Period in the Museum of Image and Sound, between April and May, dedicated exclusively to photography. In the agenda, there are exhibitions, lectures, festival and street fair. The main highlight this year will be the "Farida, um conto sírio", exhibition by Mauricio Lima, a Brazilian photojournalist and Pulitzer Prize winner in 2016, with photos of the coverage of recent migrations of refugees from the Middle East to Europe.
A series of photographs of the traditional Camera magazine will also be on display. There are images of the 19th and 20th century, part of the collection of Allan Porter, editor in chief of the magazine between 1966 and 1981.
The movement mObgraphia Cultura Visual, which encourages photography with smartphones, organizes "Avessos e paradigmas", with works by veteran photographers German Lorca, Maureen Bisilliat, Nair Benedicto and Penna Prearo using the cell phone for the first time; And "A arte da observação urbana" by the international collective Hikari Creative, made up of award winning international photographers.

Um panorama histórico da fotografia, desde 1860 até hoje, com retratos, paisagens, trabalhos documentais e experimentais de 100 fotógrafos, incluindo nomes clássicos e contemporâneos: Walker Evans, Dorothea Lange, Paul Strand, Man Ray, William Eggleston, Robert Frank, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Cindy Sherman e o brasileiro Vik Muniz, entre outros. A exposição tem curadoria do Museum of Fine Arts de Boston.

Emory Douglas e os Panteras Negras
O artista Emory Douglas foi diretor artístico, designer e ilustrador do periódico The Black Panther e ministro da Cultura do Partido dos Panteras Negras, famoso movimento político fundado em 1966 em defesa da comunidade afroamericana nos Estados Unidos. Além das obras gráficas de Douglas, a exposição apresenta fotografias e fotolivros do fotojornalista Stephen Shames que retratam o contexto social, o comportamento e o dia a dia dos ativistas negros e suas famílias em uma época marcada pela luta por direitos civis nos EUA.
Emory Douglas was the artistic director, designer and illustrator for The Black Panther and Culture Minister of the Black Panther Party, a famous political movement founded in 1966 to defend the African-American community in the United States. In addition to Douglas's graphic works, the exhibition features photographs and photo books by photojournalist Stephen Shames that portray the social context, behavior, and daily life of black activists and their families in a time marked by the US civil rights struggle.

Henri Cartier-Bresson, primeiras fotografias
O início da carreira de um dos maiores ícones da fotografia mundial. Em 1932, com uma Leica nas mãos, Bresson descobre a paixão pela fotografia e a liberdade do olhar, captando momentos únicos - e decisivos - do cotidiano nas ruas. As 58 fotos selecionadas pelo curador João Kulcsár foram produzidas nos quatro primeiros anos de trabalho do fotógrafo francês e fundador da famosa agência Magnum. A mostra é a segunda de quatro exposições do Sesi-SP em parceria com a Magnum Photos, em 2017, para comemorar o aniversário de 70 anos da agência.
The beginning of the career of one of the greatest icons of world photography. In 1932, with a Leica in his hands, Bresson discovers his passion for photography and the freedom of his gaze, capturing unique and decisive moments of daily life on the streets. The 58 photos selected by curator João Kulcsár were produced in the first four years of work of the French photographer and founder of the famous agency Magnum. The show is the second of four exhibitions of Sesi-SP in partnership with Magnum Photos in 2017 to commemorate the agency's 70th anniversary.
